This notice explains what BrainShastra collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
The photo stays on your phone
The crown photo is opened and analysed inside your browser. It is never uploaded to our servers, never stored by us, and never seen by anyone at BrainShastra.
What we receive and keep
- Crown measurements — the crown's proportions, the position and turn of each whorl, and hair density and greying as numbers. These cannot recreate the photo or identify a person.
- Your answers — whose crown it is (self, child, other), an age band for adults, and the hair texture you chose.
- Your name and email — to send you your reading and a few letters about it. For a child's reading we ask for the parent's name and email; we do not ask for or store the child's name, age or any other detail.
- Payment — handled by Razorpay. We receive the payment id, amount and status; we never see card or bank details.
- Advertising source — the campaign that brought you (from the link's parameters), to know which ads work.
Children
A child's reading is requested and paid for by a parent or guardian. It holds only the crown measurements and the parent's contact details, is written as a strengths-only reading, and is never used for advertising aimed at children.
Emails
We send your reading, up to two letters about it if you have not opened the full reading, and a receipt-style thank-you if you buy it. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
Your rights
Write to hello@brainshastra.com with the subject "Privacy" to see, correct or delete your data. We answer within 72 hours. Paid records are kept as the law requires for accounts, with your contact details removed if you ask.
Who we share with
Razorpay (payments) and Brevo (email delivery) only, for those purposes. We do not sell data.
